Armed only with a small tape recorder, our eager emissaries hurried off to the preordained meeting spot – and proceeded to talk and talk. In fact, this transcript has been whittled down to an acceptable length; they talked for hours and hours and hours. CAV: Why don’t we start by you telling us what movies you have been in?
Sharon: The first movie I made was “Pretty Features” the very first one.
CAV: “Pretty Features” … it was a big movie, right?
Sharon: My very first starring role. Then there was “Fantasy World”.
CAV: You’ve been in a lot of them?
Sharon: Yeah.

Laurien Dominique is a lovely blonde actress from Illinois. Although Illinois is known for coal miners; where men enter the sweltering, torrid, thick tunnels in search of the shiny mineral that heats up millions of people, Laurien, upon making films, became a more sultry and luscious source of warmth. LAURIEN: My first one was called Hard Soap, which was a comedy. It was a take off on Mary Hartman – Mary Hartman, when that TV show was real popular. I liked doing a comedy because it was nice to be able to laugh about sex and not take it so seriously.
CAV: Who did the movie?
LAURIEN: Damon Christian and Bob Cher.
CAV: What movie did you make after Hard Soap?
LAURIEN: “V – The Hot One”
CAV: These go back quite a ways, don’t they?
LAURIEN: Yes, I started in ’76. And most of my career was in the late seventies. I averaged one film a year, or two at a time.
CAV: How many movies have you made?
LAURIEN: About 12.

Watch out for this guy. He’s always bouncing back with something unexpected. They say he once wrote and published a study on pimps in Berkeley back in his Beat days. He made an appearance on the David Suskind Show two years ago, pretending to be a liberated asexual. He was quite good, actually. Gave a sparkling rendition. Toward the end, when he announced that he only got hard reading the New York Times, Susskind became wary of Milner, which made it clear he had no idea he was talking to the editor of Stag Magazine and had been, once again, swindled. And then, there was that mock wedding. That… Happening. Milner “married” an ex nudie model as a sort of tribute to an old friendship. The Bride and Groom read their original platonic platitudes to each other, while the girlie magazine who purchased the rights took lots of pics of everybody’s porno friends, who start any party right off – wedding or not- by popping out their tits. Milner is sincere, however. That is his charm. He gave away a slew of gold plated 50 cent tokens as a “wedding present” to whatever few guests happened not to be in a state of succor at the moment.
And now, the latest, is that Richard Milner (AKA Dick Miller, Richard Mailer) had made a movie, a comedy called Centerfold Fever (Starring Kandi Barbour, Samantha Fox, Tiffany Clark, Annie Sprinkle, Marc Stevens, Ron Jeremy, Featuring Lisa Be, Colette Connors, Les Katz, Angel, Bobbi Burns, Bobby Astyr, Veri Knotty, Ron Filene, R. Bolla, Suzie Nero, Susaye London, Robin Sane, David Morris), based upon five years of editing magazines like Stag and Swank, and years of reviewing porn movies. Again, the Milner touch. Half the porn stars in his movie were the same ones carrying on at his mock wedding three years ago. The New York contingent are very friendly, work within their own circle for laughs.
Milner knows many of them as hang-out friends and just lets them do what they do in his movie. People like Annie Sprinkle and Kandi Barbour, et al, but he has added a few cute touches. He went out and recruited a girl who frequented swing clubs, a total suburban nobody whose pizzaz started the pros buzzing in their part of the New York world. Milner signed her up right away. He managed to get another little juicy zinger in for the grapevine by getting the movie reviewer of Genesis to appear, playing herself.
Milner was sounding optimistic as ever, but a little frazzled, when we spoke to him at Stag.
CAV: How did the idea for your film begin?
MILNER: This movie grew out of the people, the locations I developed at Stag, that were favorites with our readers. I simply tried to use all the elements that I’ve been working with in the magazine and translated it into a film. More >

Rhonda Jo Petty, “The Farrah Fawcett” of Porn?
CAV: You rose to fame as “The Farrah Fawcett” of porn. Did you ever meet Farrah?
RJ: No, but I’ve gotten letters from her. I don’t think she likes me.
CAV: She actually took the time to write you?
RJ: Oh, sure. She threatened to sue me for that first movie, “Little Orphan Dusty”.
CAV: How could she sue? All the publicity said was that you were a Farrah look-alike.
RJ: They were using her name. So she threatened litigation, but it never got to court. I think the smartest thing she ever did was not sue them. When Cheryl Ladd sued “Taxi Girls”, they had to take her name off the poster.
CAV: And “Dusty” was a big hit and got your name and Farrah’s on a lot of marquees… But the truth is that you don’t look anything like Farrah.
RJ: No, I don’t. I never thought I did. But my hair was real long back then and that hairdo was “in” and the gimmick worked. Do you realize that was almost ten years ago!

CAV: I agree. Why do you think I’m doing this?
SERENA: As far as being the kinkiest, I’ve tried just about everything possible, not always on film, but most of it. I played around heavily and found, after six years in the business, true love and a domestic scene. And I’m real happy and sort of straight again.
